Doctor

Contact us for details if you are a medical doctor interested in working with us.  Your help is needed.

 

Nurse

Licensed Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner, comfortable with the following tasks is preferred, but any level of nurse is welcome:

• Nasogastric tube placement
• Intravenous catheter placement
• Straight needle draw for blood samples
• Foley catheter placement
• Head to Toe assessments
• Ease with working outside of your comfort zone

The ward usually has around 20-30 inpatients which are the sickest of who we see and includes those who require oxygen. There are many outpatients that come for new complaints or problems. We do practice emergency and intensive care medicine with new arrivals.

 

Logistics Coordinator

Responsible for coordinating important non-clinical aspects of Ti Kay's mission, including:

• Organizing and enhancing efficiency of the patient treatment adherence network
• Assisting in the implementation of Ti Kay’s electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Working with local Haitian nursing staff to fulfill resource requests
• Coordinating transportation and logistics for medication, equipment, supplies and volunteers
• Research and assist in the development of applications for grant funding
• Coordinate financial and in-kind donations
• Other duties and responsibilities as required by the Executive Director.

 

General Volunteer

Non-medical professional and interested in volunteering with us? We could use your help! Some tasks that previous non-medical volunteers have performed include:

• Data entry
• Inventory
• Outreach
• Aid patients with walking
• Aid patients with eating
• Aid doctors and nurses with running errands
